WireMedia provided art direction for various graphic design and custom prop design and construction for this feature film trailer. All items had to look believably real and part of the surrounding environment.

In the story, Securatec is a camera/security service and equipment provider and the plot involves issues of surveillance and privacy.

WireMedia Principal Marcy Rye was credited as Art Director.

Logo Design

WireMedia created the logo of Securatec, a fictitious corporation that is part of the central storyline of Topiary Productions' promotional trailer for the feature film Closed Circuit.

The logo was designed to be modern, clean and vaguely military, and was used in various media. The abstraction of an eye suggests an eyeball camera (a Securatec product featured in the film) in addition to the larger plot themes.

Custom Signage

WireMedia researched materials and lighting to design, build, and mount a custom backlit sign and a free-standing sign for use on the set of the Closed Circuit trailer.

The backlit sign is made from custom-cut acrylic, wood, gels, and a fluorescent lamp. The freestanding sign is printed and mounted on board, and affixed to a metal stand (photo not available).

Prop Construction and Rigging

WireMedia was tasked with making sure the support for the eyeball camera was altered to match the brass fixtures at the shoot location, and also for determining how to best hang the entire piece at the location. A faux brass finish was done in oils, making for the perfect complement. We researched materials to design and create custom identity badges and uniform patches for use as part of character costumes.
